Description
1971 was the first full year of production for the second generation Chevrolet Camaro. The new body style featured a fastback roofline and ventless full-door glass with no rear side quarter windows. Up front was the iconic split front bumper, and in the rear, new round tail lights that mimicked the Corvette. This was a clean sheet ground up redesign, and made the second generation Camaro a much better drivers car than the first generation, with a more driver focused interior and improved suspension and braking systems. The gorgeous Admiral Blue Camaro you see here has been lovingly restored and tastefully resto-modded to take it to a different level as a drivers car. Under the hood is a newer 350CI V-8 linked to a smooth shifting automatic trasnmission. Out back is a Ford 9" rear axle with limited slip putting the power out to the ground. The suspension has been modified with tubular control arms up front and a full four link in the back. Coil over shock absorbers at all four corners damp ride motions well, and give this Camaro a menacing stance. Stopping duties are carried out by Wilwood slotted and drilled disc brakes at all four corners. Inside is a beautiful black vinyl bucket interior. The radio has been deleted, and will not be missed as the exhaust note of the small block plays the most beautiful driving notes one could ask for.
